Sunny is my girlfriend's beloved Bichon Frisé, and his favorite activity is marking trees—he simply can't resist! Inspired by his quirky habits, I created Sunny Day, a lighthearted game that reflects his adventures. In the game, Sunny explores different scenic backgrounds from various parts of the world, each featuring two trees—one on the left and one on the right.

The objective is to help Sunny gain XP by marking the trees. However, there's a twist—Sunny prefers variety, so you must alternate between the two trees to keep earning XP. When Sunny gets close to a tree, press space, and you'll score 1 XP. The challenge lies in seeing how much XP you can collect before the game ends. It’s a fun way to celebrate Sunny’s personality :).

@rocristoi is attempting to deploy a commit to the Hack Club Team on Vercel.

A member of the Team first needs to authorize it.

Hey, noticed your backgrounds were AI art - that's not allowed for this YSWS! All art needs to be original, made by you. Could you please remake the backgrounds yourself?

Hey! I've uploaded some backgrounds made by myself.

Hey! Some things need to be changed before merge:

  • I noticed the dog is also AI art, once again, all art needs to be original. Please remake it.
  • Your game is entirely Pygame - that's not going to run on the actual device! The hardware console only runs Circuitpython - see the setup for that here: https://hackapet.hackclub.com/setup. For more details, check the pins in #hackapet / ask in slack!
  • It's currently unclear in the gameplay how to play the game / how to get to the different background screens you got there - could you add something to make the gameplay more intuative?

Thanks for submitting!
