Tasker integration

Viscerion includes an optional integration for Tasker and such apps to allow controlling tunnels. This is NOT a recommended feature on rooted devices since malicious apps can alter Viscerion settings.

Setup

Setting up Viscerion for Tasker support is very straightforward and typically takes less than a minute.

  • Head into settings, and enable the Tasker integration switch:

  • After that, tap the 'External intent secret' setting and write a random string that will be shared between Viscerion and Tasker as a trusted key.

  • The rest of the configuration is done in Tasker, so open up Tasker, head into whichever profile you will be using, and when you add an action, go into Plugin -> Viscerion.

  • Here you will need to fill in the name of your Tunnel and the secret key you used in step 2. Set the switch as desired to either enable or disable the tunnel.

  • Hit save and you're done! Your tunnel can now be enabled or disabled through Tasker, provided the tunnel exists and the secret key is correct.
