Patgen Description

patgen is a simple pattern generator designed to build and run on Linux
platforms and embedded Linux platforms. Requires standard c library. To run
the default font needs to be a symbolically linked to the run directory.
GPL font, K1FS-1.2, is included as the default. "DejaVuSansMono.ttf" has
also been tested. The DejaVu font can be found in /usr/share/fonts/truetype
on yocto systems or in /usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu on ubuntu systems.

patgen is not intended to replace other GPU and VPU media tests. It is
intended to provide tools to isolate and debug display and camera issues.

./patgen.exe [-0 stuck zero 0xaarrbbgg][-1 stuck one 0xaarrbbgg]
[-a alpha percent ] [-border] [-b, -bpc 1-8 bit per color]
[-c xRGB pixel value 0xrrggbb] [-d] [-fb frame buffer device file]
[-footer] [-grid] [-header] [-h, -help] [-i, -intensity percent]
[-max_i max_intensity percent] [-min_i min_intensity percent]
[-o outname name prefix] [-p pattern] [-pix_fmt pixel format]
[-range range] [-steps steps for colorbar/graybar]
[-r rotation 0,90,180,or 270 degrees] [-stride stride in pixels]
[-v verbose mode] [-vs -vsize widthxheight pixels]

usage:
-0 -zero Force stuck zero [1-hot stuck zero pattern 0xaarrbbgg]

-1 -one Force stuck one [1-hot stuck one patter 0xaarrbbgg]

	-a -alpha [alpha (%)]
Sets the alpha value. Default is 100.0%

	-border
Adds a border to the pattern

-b -bpc bits per color [bits per color 1-8]

-c -color Default color[RGB color in hex 0xaarrbbgg]
Sets the color default for the fill and graybars

	-d -debug [level]
		Sets the debug level

-fb [frame buffer device] Name of the framebuffer device file

	-footer
Adds footer text to the pattern border

	-grid Enables 10%//5% overlay grid

	-header
Adds header text to the pattern border

	-h -help
		Shows usage

	-i -intensity [intensity (%)]
Sets the color intensity for the colorbar, fill, graybars,
and hsv patterns. Default is 100.0%

	-max_i[maximum intensity (%)]
Sets the maximum intensity for the colorbar/graybar pattern.
			Default is 100.0%

	-min_i [minimum intensity (%)]
Sets the minimum intensity for the colorbar/graybar pattern.
			Default is 0.0%

	-o -outname [prefix string]
Adds a prefix to the default pattern name

	-p -pattern [pattern]
Select the type pattern to generate:
checker creates a checkerboard pattern using -size

circle Draws circle with a background fill
		colorbar	Vertical color bars
		colorbar2	Alternate colors bars
		colorcheck	24 color checker
fill Fill the pattern with -color at -intensity).
font Pattern with some sample text from the fonts in use.
graybar 11 shaded bars, the default is white bars from
				100% to 0%. The -color, -steps, -min_i, and max_i
parameters can be used with this pattern.
gradient	Creates eight horizontal gradient bars: magenta, yellow,
cyan, white, red, green, blue and white.
vgradient	Creates eight four vertical gradient bars: magenta, yellow,
cyan, white, red, green, blue, and white.
hsv Creates an HSV color transition gradient. The
-i sets the V (value) for HSV.
shapes Draw test shapes with a background fill
		logo Draw an NXP logo
test Creates a testcard like pattern.
wheel Creates an HSV color wheel. The -i sets the V
				(value) for HSV.

16m_colors	Creates an 4096x4096 color burst of 16
				million colors.

	-pix_fmt
		Supported formats are:
bgra 32 bits per pixel RGB
rgb24 24 bits per pixel RGB
bgr24 24 bits per pixel BGR
rgb565le 16 bits per pixel RGB
		yuv420p 12 bits per pixel YUV (3 planes Y, U and V)
		yuv444p 24 bits per pixel YUV (3 planes Y, U and V)
		yuva444 32 bits per pixel YUV (1 plane Y, U, V, and A YUVA)
		yuv444 24 bits per pixel YUV (1 plane Y, U and V YUV)
yuvj444p 24 bits per pixel YUV full color range (1 plane Y, U and V YUV)
		yuyv422 16 bits per pixel YUV (1 plane Y, U, Y, and V YUYV)
nv12 12 bits per pixel YUV (2 planes Y and UV)

	-range - YUV color range
		Sets the color range 0/1 = limited/full

-r -rotation [rotation (degrees)] rotates the final image to 0, 90, 180, or 270

	-size -checker_size [size (pixels)]

	-space - YUV color space
		 0 is bt.601

	-steps [steps]
Sets the number steps in the graybar pattern

-stride [stride (pixels)] Sets the stride if it is larger the width

Sets the size of the checker board squares in pixels

	-v -verbose
		Echos the command parameters

-vs -vsize [WxH (pixelsXlines)] Sets the width and height of the output.
		Default is 640x480
