Wie in #561 (comment) geschrieben, ist dies ein Fix des Update Scripts 456 für MySQL unter der Annahme, dass es in #561 für die H2DB entwickelt und getestet wurde.

Ich hatte es unter MariaDB getestet, da hat es funktioniert. Anscheinend gibt es doch mehr Unterschiede zwischen MariaDB und MySQL als ich dachte.
Deine Änderung funktioniert auch unter MariaDB.
H2 habe ich auch nochmal getestet, geht auch.
