GitHub - parmism/parmism-Web-scraping-for-diet-optimization: This is a personal project aiming to enhance the long-existing diet optimization problem by exploring applications of HTML-based and API based web scraping to retrieve not only recipes and nutritional information, but the current price of ingredients from large grocery stores that allow it. This will allow consumers to repeat the diet optimization problem as frequently as needed in times of inflation and high price volatility to keep adjusting prices and optimize their grocery basket in the most cost-effective way possible. Implications of the legality of price scraping for promoting competitive markets will be discussed.
