@njahn82 I've applied for [email protected], which can use here as a reply-to, and can also use for access credentials to the matomo tracking in subugoe/subugoetheme#6

This will probably take a bit to be set up.

ah, darn, I think I have a better idea.
I had forgotten (never knew?) that you can allow a list to accept emails from anyone, including non-members without moderation.

So this seems like a much better / more lightweight way to support metacheck:

  • We can use it as a reply-to email for all programmatically outgoing email, no problem.
  • We can add/remove volunteer helpers from the list all the time (for now, it's us).
  • We can keeps tabs on whats happening in terms of support, even when someone else takes care of it.
  • It's all hosted by the GWDG.

Obviously, this would still be the "Plan C" -- ideally, people will find most of their answers in the FAQs #27 and will look their first.

So [email protected] it is.

I think this should serve us for some time to come.

I'll see whether I can still cancel the above [email protected] functional address, to avoid extra work for others and overhead.
