Grant level

  • Level 1: Up to $10,000, 2 approvals
  • Level 2: Up to $30,000, 3 approvals
  • Level 3: Unlimited, 5 approvals (for >$100k: Web3 Foundation Council approval)

Application Checklist

  • The application template has been copied and aptly renamed (project_name.md).
  • I have read the application guidelines.
  • Payment details have been provided (Polkadot AssetHub (USDC & DOT) address in the application and bank details via email, if applicable).
  • I understand that an agreed upon percentage of each milestone will be paid in vested DOT, to the Polkadot address listed in the application.
  • I am aware that, in order to receive a grant, I (and the entity I represent) have to successfully complete a KYC/KYB check.
  • The software delivered for this grant will be released under an open-source license specified in the application.
  • The initial PR contains only one commit (squash and force-push if needed).
  • The grant will only be announced once the first milestone has been accepted (see the announcement guidelines).

- the process of searching for, finding, and applying for the right crypto funding option is cumbersome and time-consuming for both applicants and reviewers.
- Applicants struggle with identifying suitable grants and preparing high-quality applications,
- while reviewers face the challenge of managing numerous submissions.
- To our research about 85% of proposals get rejections either because of irrelevance, poor quality, however reviewer's lack of domain competence and even nepotism among foundations members are among the most common reasons as well.

Could you provide the source here? Is this from the State of Web3 Grants Report?

Do you plan for integration of Polkadot wallets here as well, such as Talisman, Nova Wallet, Subwallet, etc?

Blockchain Interaction:
ethers.js: For blockchain interaction.
Alchemy, Infura, or a self-hosted Ethereum node: For connecting to blockchain networks.

This seems to be left over from a previous application, as Polkadot doesn't use these RPCs...

We only fund technical development, so we likely wouldn't fund some of these initial website setup deliverables. Additionally, we ask for some initial mockups/wireframes to be provided in the application for the front-end parts.
